What is Sous Chef?

Where does my food come from?

Your order is prepared by a participating local restaurant kitchen.

Are the restaurants real?

Yes. Sous Chef brands operate through participating commercial restaurant kitchens.

Can I order for delivery?

Orders are fulfilled through the delivery platform available for the restaurant.

Are items dairy-free?

The menus are designed without dairy, but customers with allergies should verify the specific restaurant's ingredients and cross-contact practices.

Are items nut-free?

The menus are designed without nuts, but customers with allergies should verify ingredients and cross-contact practices.

Are items sesame-free?

The menus are designed without sesame, but customers with allergies should verify ingredients and cross-contact practices.

What if I have a food allergy?

Customers with severe allergies should contact the restaurant before ordering and should not rely solely on the website's ingredient information.

What is Sous Chef?

Sous Chef creates delivery-first restaurant brands that operate inside existing restaurant kitchens.

Do I need another location?

No. Sous Chef is designed to operate from your existing kitchen.

Do I need new equipment?

Usually no. Each brand is designed around common commercial kitchen equipment.

Do I need new employees?

No. The concept is designed to be executable by your existing kitchen team.

Who provides the recipes?

Sous Chef provides the recipes and operating instructions.

Who buys the ingredients?

The partner restaurant generally purchases and stocks the ingredients required to operate the menu.

Do I need to make special sauces?

No proprietary bottled sauce program is required.

Is there fermentation?

No.

Do I need to make pickles?

No batch pickling program is required.

Can I turn off an item?

Yes. Individual items can be turned off if ingredients or equipment are unavailable.

Do I need custom packaging?

No.

How many items are on each menu?

Each brand has 4 mains and 2 sides.

How much do the items cost?

Mains are $10. Sides are $3. Jackpot Wings are 9 wings for $10.

Who handles delivery?

Delivery is handled through the supported delivery platform and storefront setup. Delivery-platform setup depends on the platform's approval and account structure. Sous Chef will guide you through the setup process.

Can I use my own sauces?

Do not substitute restaurant sauces without checking the recipe and allergen requirements.

Can I change the recipes?

Recipes should not be changed casually. Contact Sous Chef for approved substitutions.

What if I run out of an ingredient?

Turn off affected menu items and contact Sous Chef if the shortage will continue.

What if an order is wrong?

Follow the restaurant's delivery-platform order correction process and report recurring issues to Sous Chef.

What if the food is taking too long?

Check ticket flow, prep time, staffing, ingredient availability and equipment bottlenecks.
